A race suited to all fitness types and ages, the 2nd Annual Spring into Fitness Fun Run is taking place again this September and welcomes fitness enthusiasts to participate in all the excitement with their friends, training partners, colleagues, family members or simply anyone interested in a great excuse for some exercise. By September, the weather is still mild enough for runners to enjoy a moderate temperature for physical activity.
This event brings together people from all over the surrounding areas of Rustenburg including Phokeng, Magaliesburg and the Royal Bafokeng Nation and can be enjoyed in groups or individually.
For those visiting the area on a vacation or for a work trip, this event provides an excellent opportunity for exercise and a change of scenery. While taking on this journey into fitness, you will be able to bask in the fresh outside air and meet like-minded people along the way without the usual pressure of a race to the finish line – this race is meant to be fun so choose your pace, set your limits and have a great time.
A Fun Run for Everyone
This fun run event is hosted by the Journey to Fitness Athletics Club and is scheduled to start around sunrise at 6:30 am on Saturday the 8th of September, however, registration will also take place on the day from 5:30 am to 6:20 am, just before the race commences. Participating runners can choose a race suited to their fitness and comfort levels, with the easier being the 5 KM run for R60 per person. There is a more challenging 10 KM run for R80 per person; for those seeking the ultimate challenge, the 15 KM run will cost R100 per person.
