Participate in the upcoming family-friendly Rustenburg Bubble Run event, taking place for the first time this October. With visitors making their way to Rustenburg and its surrounding areas from all walks of life, this event is a great opportunity to meet friendly locals and enjoy something different while on holiday.
Bubbles, Fresh Air and Exercise
Taking place early on Saturday morning on the 6th of October, Rustenburg’s First Bubble Run has already generated plenty of hype among locals and those planning a visit to the North West province around this time. Although there is an element of fitness involved in the Bubble Run, this is no traditional running event but rather an exciting one that combines bubbles, fresh air and exercise. As the perfect spring running event to enjoy with your friends and family, Rustenburg’s upcoming Bubble Run event will be something special and could mark the beginning of many more Bubble Runs to come.
The idea behind the bubble run is to put the fun back into exercise and in that spirit, everyone who participates will receive a participation medal to remember their day by, while there will also be prizes for those who rank among the top 3. The Bubble Run will be hosted by Rustenburg’s GrowthPoint Church and guests visiting the area can enjoy 5-star accommodation options just a short drive away at the lovely Tshiberry Bed & Breakfast.
Participants can choose between the more challenging 5km bubble run or the less daunting 2km run – regardless of the run chosen, tickets will cost R100 for adults and R80 for kids over the age of 2 (kids under 2 can enter for free) and will also grant visitors access to enjoy the Water Play Park, which is made up of multiple giant water slides and foam pits. For those interested in enjoying the Water Play Park and not taking part in a run, tickets will cost R50 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day, or else online by visiting the Quicket website.
