The highly anticipated Sun City Ultra Triathlon for 2019 is nearing again! This fun challenge can be described as both exhilarating and rewarding, where athletes can put their fitness to the test and enjoy a day of adventure across three routes that involve running, cycling and swimming, with a relay option available for teams of up to 3 members.

There are two main races for participants to choose from at the Sun City Ultra Triathlon:

Sprint: 600 m Swim | 20 Km Cycle | 5 Km Run
Ultra: 1.9 Km Swim | 90 Km Cycle | 21 Km Run

The sprint is a medium difficulty challenge that is suited to individuals 16 years and older, while the ultra is a far more difficult and physically demanding challenge, suited to individuals 18 years and older. This prestigious event offers athletes and fitness enthusiast’s fantastic value for their money, with facilities focused on the well-being and performance of athletes across all the challenges, throughout the day.

On the day of the race, each participant will receive a limited edition event garment/item, an official race silicone swim cap, a personalized race number, a goodie bad, an Ultra finishers medal, access to the Finishers Tent where there will be snacks and soft drinks, as well as a complementary message in the Athletes Tent. Late entrants will only receive a race number, transition bag and silicone swimming cap (transition bags are only given to Ultra participants). There will be transition areas between the running, cycling and swimming challenges and a list of what to pack for the triathlon can be accessed on the event website, in addition to all other information and registration for entry.

For many, the Sun City Ultra Triathlon is must, and is a calendar highlight on an annual basis. For more than a decade, this race has taken place and gradually improved to provide an amazing experience to passionate individuals.
