Rainhill Farm
This training hike will stretch over three hours and will be taking place at Rainhill Farm, a lovely natural setting with surrounding trees, shaded paths and blooming flowers – there is even a spot along the way for hikers to enjoy a refreshing swim. This hike will commence at 7 am on Saturday the 24th of November, bright and early to minimize the impact of the summer sun and heat.
Rainhill Farm is located only 4 kilometres outside of Rustenburg and is rich in history that goes back to the early 19th century, home to two historical buildings that have been lovingly restored and cared for. There is also a restaurant on the farm grounds, Hatley’s Restaurant, where coffee can be enjoyed after the morning hike has been completed.
Sunrise to Sunset Training
Get excited about this Sunrise to Sunset training hike that is geared towards helping fitness enthusiasts prepare for the official Sunrise to Sunset hike taking place in 2019, across the distance of 100 kilometres and over 4 days. Be sure to bring water and snacks along, as well as some cash to enjoy the restaurant afterwards and pay R20 to walk on Rainhill.
